Quick Information

Name of Startup: Outfit Appt
Year Founded: 2020
Website: Outfitappt.com

Type of company: SAAS
HQ Location: Vancouver

Startup Founders:

Matthew Schmidt

Startup one-liner:

Find Your Fit™

Problem the startup solves:

Outfit is a new virtual shopping experience that allows brands to connect to their customers wherever they are in the world. Outfit allows retail brands to convert more online visitors, increase order value, and decrease returns.

Progress and current status:

We’re officially launching our brand new app “Outfit”, a virtual shopping platform that aims to empower and uplift all people through fashion.

What is a crazy story about the startup?:

In the fall of 2020 during the COVID-19 global pandemic, our retail partners fought to keep their business running. Limited to lockdowns and social distancing, our retail partners promoted the opportunity to book virtual shopping appointments, on video conferencing platforms. In the first hour, they booked over 80 appointments & had over 400 people on the waiting list.

They sold $80,000 in their first day. They increased sales & most importantly connected with their customers in a meaningful way. Since then the team has hosted over 350 virtual shopping appointments. We then built a software tool for this, called Outfit.

As we built out the team and technology, we recognized that our software could be applied across a variety of industries, looking for new ways to connect with potential customers in the digital age. The plans began to form and Outfit was born.

What is a company the startup looks up to, and why?:

Tiny Capital Ltd operates as a technology holding company. The Company focuses on investment in Internet businesses. Tiny Capital serves customers in Canada.

The company in four years will be…

Build a professional corporate brand for a modern technology company to attract online businesses who use Outfit’s products and services, as well as investors who would support the Outfit’s mission and vision.
